Today I looked out my window and all the boys were sitting together around the table. Best friends. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity! Psalms 133:1 I must say, I agree.
Moments later that calm was long gone. At least I can say it wasn’t because they were fighting. Picture me on a ladder testing and replacing a screeching smoke detector. Let me tell you, that’ll keep them outside. Scared. Combine that with a mess that included stuffed animals, shredded paper, paint, and stuff animals.
Today I let Keegan (attempt) to push the cart in the store as I carried a sleeping boy. Because sometimes sleep is that precious.
Tonight I cleaned up spilled milk, and other spilled messes
Tonight I rocked my 30 pound, 2.5 year-old, like a newborn. He loves singing along with me at night. Tonight Jesus Loves Me and when I could sing no more Pandora Radio.
I listened to the boys talk about how they thought it was a very good thing we were having breakfast for dinner because breakfast is the most important meal of the day and they were having “the most important meal, twice”
I felt thankful I’m a mom, like I do every.single.day. No matter what kind of day it was.
I said I was going to go to bed early like I always do and………………….
