chalky

i have this thing for chalkboard walls.




up to this point i have avoided doing one in this house because i'm already looking around and my rainbow of home colors the next buyer will probably not appreciate and i am going to be left re-painting.  the thought of re-painting makes me cringe, but i'm having a "i will live in the moment" kind of week and i felt like i needed a pick-me-up. i guess thats what home updates are for me. regardless of how small. unfortunately, I have textured walls so the results are not as good as the would be on a flat wall, but worst case senerio, i have just scored cool points will the boys.

AWESOME! I love love love love love it! When I first saw the pics I thought they were from a catalog! I like the grocery list too.

Thanks girls. I'm pretty darn excited about the chalkboard. Leah, STOP...My WHOLE house isn't in this picture 98% of it is un-finished or trashed. ha ha, I thought you'd get a kick out of the shopping list, Janell. "a catalog" you are too kind <3 Jennah, that is sweet your blog is pretty sweet too..you don't have to do much when your family is as beautiful as yours is!
