Oh boy, oh boy, have I found some good thrift/antique treasures lately. And when least expected, at that. I had pretty much decided I was never going to find the chairs I was looking for-for the boys room. And ta-da! Not only did I find them I find them for cheap! My home town is a little treasure trove of antique stores and finds. I typically really do hate going in some of these places. I would rather go in Goodwill where you know what to expect, and people leave you be, and don’t act snooty. But, I took the plunge and went in one back home and found a globe for the boys collection and a vintage suitcase. I love COLOR of it, SO MUCH. Then, I decided to try a place local. I’ve considered going in time and again and was always just sure they had nothing but junk. I .WAS.WRONG. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G vintage beds, suitcases, vases, dressers, wooden chairs and highchairs. The thing that sets this place apart from some… It is vintage , but it isn’t broken. Solid wood, functional pieces. Now, my house isn’t exactly rustic, but this store has everything. Wouldn’t you know I tried to buy the fantastic teal lockers that “weren’t for sale” *tear* Anyway, I will find some of those eventually. The thought of those in the boys room or a mudroom just gets me giddy. So, what I did find… drumroll please……. TWO MATCHING SOLID WOOD CHAIRS!!! The only thing better would have been, if there had been three. Annnnnd this stool with a 5 on it. Perfect for my bathroom ;) Oh, and the ladies working there we kind and fun.
