Spring Break |Day 4| Playing , Resting, Biking & Eating

Sounds exciting right?  It was actually. We headed out to park with the ever healthy Happy Meals. Speaking of the park, have you heard about the love bugs around here? We all got a chance to hate them yesterday. I mean, they are mad this year. I went to my neighbors and she couldn’t open her front door because they were so heavy. She asked me to go to the garage. You can’t eat, can’t stand, can’t sit, without them covering someone or something. I am trying to keep things in perspective and ignore them the best I can. It could be so much worse. I mean, really, what if there were slimy toads for every love bug. That would be a big problemo for me.

After the park we had a naptime for Asher and movie time for the boys. IT. WAS. GLORIOUS. while it lasted at least.

We spent more outside time with those lovely little bugs and the boys both practice bikes.

And we had fish for dinner. Fancy that. That was one of Keegan’s request. We just happened to have some Grouper, Greg had caught fishing with his dad , in the freezer. And a certain little friend had told be about a yummy recipe I had been wanting to try. She shared it with me, it’s from Real Simple. One of my favs. They always have great recipes. Click Here if you want to try it. I didn’t have leeks or tomatoes and wasn’t making a trip to the store, so I made my own sides this time. That being said, the fish portion only to 5 minutes to prepare. Really, 5 minutes. AWESOME!

And guess what we have just about completed our spring break list. We have some more practicing on the bikes, so I can’t say they “know how” yet. And Sea World, well we don’t know yet. We might have to wait till it’s cooler than 97 degrees, but we’ll see.

Last night I had a few seconds to reflect. HAHA- I’m laughing about the two seconds. It was longer then that , but it is never long enough to be enough to thank the Lord for all he has done. I had the victims of the latest fit of storms on my mind. My kids were all safe and sound in their beds. We are safe. After the scares I had last month (or the beginning  of this month) while driving in ominous weather, I am more aware then ever how scary it can be. And what I  experienced was nothing in comparison to what has taking place all over the U.S the last few days. You know they say God will teach you over and over until you get something. I wonder, is this him saying this is for real people? Know me, take me serious. Every time there is a crisis, I at least, go back to more thinking and focusing on the heavy thought, and scripture from Matthew 25:13. We don’t know the day or the hour, our days are numbered on this earth. Then without fail, when the storms and the “storms” of life get back to calm, I regress, revert get earth-centered. God, Help us to stay focused on what’s important and not have to learn the hard way. You know the great thing?   You don’t have to be perfect to know God. He wants to know you.

He's coming back anyway, so let us focus on the important things! You are ever so wise and only in your 20's. Some may see a designer/rockin' mom of three boys/photographer/etc. I always see the Proverbs/Titus woman, which above all else, is my favorite parts about you. X to the O.
