What a great day. I spent the morning with my boys. We got a lot done and had some fun too. We even road our bikes to the swimming pool. In the afternoon we went the a BBQ. The boys were spoiled. In a great way. A way that I think all kids, especially military kids without their dad, and without family, should be treated. It wasn’t expected, but Ill have to admit such thoughtfulness and generosity got me a little choked up. We ate more food than Thanksgiving, thanked the Lord, lit off a plethora of sparklers, and just enjoyed each others company. The drive home was magical as the entire sky lit up with fireworks. There was a ban on the fireworks in the neighborhood we were in but that didn’t stop up from seeing some. I think that has to be God working out the details. The boys finished their day on the trampoline watching more from the backyard, while I tucked A in, then chitter chattered about the day in their bed. I stopped more times I can count and thanked the Lord I live in this great country! What a fantast fourth!
