highlights

 

Instead of lamenting over each detail of the week, good and bad I'm compiling a list called….

Highlights in the second week of September

 

1. When Tate asked, “Hey, Mom.” “Yeah, Tate?” “Do you have to were underwear under your wedding dress?” Ya, see… Tate has this obsession with going commando and now that his dad is re-training him, and forcing him to wear undies, he is interested in all the situations where you “have to wear it.”

2. And when we had this convo in the car- Tate in the car : "Michael Jackson got sick and died because he drunk too much wrong medicine." How did you know about that? "Because Keegan told me." How did he know? "Because he's the smartest kid on the whole earth!  I have to say I was concerned and a little sad he even knew about this, but it still made me smile and laugh.

3. Our church service

4.) Eating lunch at a new Japanese Restaurant in town. It was the boys, all the boys, that made that SO MUCH FUN! Hilarious!

5.Seeing the K & T try Ta Kwan Do. This will be SO good for them. I was so impressed by the studio and the discipline, and the boys took to that and the structure like white on rice. They won’t stop talking about. It was the topic of conversation all night, and all morning. The instructor was impressed Keegan didn’t forget many of the different instructions that he gave him, and said Tate had the best four year old kick he had seen. He jumped in with reckless abandon the way Tate does, which means he got thrown back on his back a few times. Which of course…He thought was awesome.

6. I think I might have had two (or three) good coffee dates. IDK who's counting ;) Can I say hot salted caramel mocha, and pumpkin spice frap! Or maybe homemade by a special friend. That my friends, is refreshing.

 

7. Too many sweet smiles from my boy Asher to count and lots of new words. I think we are getting over a little behavioral bump. Not to say that naptime or bedtime is much better. But that boy is soooooo sweet. I just want to pinch his cheeks!

 

8. A new candle.

 

9.Keegan coming home with 100% on his math test.. the only 100 in his class I might add.

 

10. Keegan telling me he wanted to make his bed, because he learned that at church.

 

The boys, the boys, the boys. I know, I’m bragging but rest assured… I know every good and perfect gift comes above from the Father above .Lots of NEW… Changing, and growing and trying new things around here. As a mother there is a lot of stress, but when you see your kids excelling, growing , and changing for the good inside and out. It warms you heart and soul, puts a smile on your face and makes you realize you might not be doing such a crappy job. Amen to that!
