spirited

My boys are just that – spirited. The word IMO describes them perfectly, in fact, I think it describes them so well I changed the “young” to “spirited” in the heading of my blog. I think spirited can be a really good trait. The definition means;  Full of energy, enthusiasm, and determination. Think how much good can come out of those characteristics. However, harnessing those traits and using them for good is another story. You have to be STRONG and I don’t know if I am. I definitely don’t feel like I am. And definitely not on days like like we had at the beginning of this week . Sometimes I question and doubt the good Lord(as I know I shouldn’t) and ask, How did you entrust me, ME, with these boys? I don’t know a thing about boys(though I really do know a few things by now), And not only that,  everyone of them is full of …As my great-grandmother would say, “ p*ss and vinegar.” I love it, really, I do. Watching them is fun, seeing their little personalities is fun.  But, as we all know the problems elevate when I allow myself to ask… Why does the lady down the street have three quieter, mellow, subdued boys???   I am thankful they and the are just the way God made them.  Even if that means typing that out to believe it (I really do believe it BTW).

On that note. Keegan finished school! He will be starting 3rd grade in the Fall *gulp*. Asher turned 19 months and has ANOTHER ear infection I might add, and Tate, well, as you know from my last post started T-ball. Looks like the Summer is going to be a little more chaotic then I had planned. SURPRISE! Welcome to military life. This is how we roll peeps. Greg’s news about an upgrade, which means school slot, ended up throwing off all of our plans for this weeks trip, and will mean he will be gone for more then half the Summer. Five weeks doesn’t sound that long until I calculate the fact , the kids just got out of school for summer, we will have this trip, a few weeks after that, then he will leave. And when he comes back, Keegan’s birthday will be past and they will already be back in school! Oh boy, that leads me to another thought.. That means Tate’s orientation for pre-school(at a new 5 day a week pre-school) will be ALL ME! Why after eight years does it bother me when I am the only parent at these things alone? I am sure one day I will be so on top of my game this stuff won’t matter a hill of beans, and the proof will be that I don’t even mention it.
Here is Keegan’s first and last day of school. And Tate’s first and last. Ahhhh Summer! You are not my favorite season, but I am looking forward to you this year.
