Spring Break SURPRISE
I couldn’t be any happier or anymore proud. After practically four years of begging , pleading, bribing, encouraging, forcing, praying…And one week of full-force perseverance and a back-ache Keegan Joseph Kuhn is a proud bike rider. It was one of our goals for spring break and it came to pass in the eleventh hour. It is cheesy, weird and I don’t get it, but it made me cry. I am so happy for him. And me. Before I had kids I never knew this little task even had a possibility of being a challenge. For most it is probably not. But if it is for you and yours know there is hope. Because I wasn’t sure he would ever ride. Shoe tying was hard to teach too. Another thing this dude learned this year. I tell myself it won’t be the end of the world if he or any of my kids don’t do certain things that are “normal” by other peoples standards of what they should be doing at certain ages, it’s their heart that matters. And I believe it! But, it’s pretty darn great to see them practice, work diligently, and achieve their goal. We call this “Keegan time.” He does it when he is ready, but he does it. We love that boy.

*sniff*, this brought tears to my eyes! I'm so proud of Keegan! Kainoa reminds me so much of him. I'm been stressing myself out so much lately because Kainoa refuses to learn to ride and tie his shoes and do other stuff I thought he should be doing by now. I guess they do learn all on their own. So happy for Keegan!
I'll cry with you. It's a big deal, man! ;)
YAY KEEGAN!!!!! so happy for the little guy!
He'll do it Janell..eventually...Is it "Kainoa time"? LOL I know how frustrating it is. And honestly, I'm not sure if I hadn't taken matters into my own hands if he would ba doing either right now. You know who is great to talk to about this? Angela J. She gave me the motivation to push through the whining and make him do it even if it is only 5 minutes a day.
Thanks everyone!!!!
So proud! What a milestone! Way to go, K!
