You ever feel like you attract crazy? Sometimes I do… We knew going to dinner was going to be a long wait in St. Augustine, on a Saturday night, Labor day weekend. Our first stop a restaurant with a hour and a half wait. Thankfully we kept on looking. Stumbled upon Bon Ami and sampled macaroons for the first time, and then found a restaurant with plenty of outdoor seating. It wasn’t the nicest of atmospheres, but it wasn’t bad- a cool breeze, garden lights, and fast service. Then in happened. A HUGE TRUCK pulled up…. Looked like a garbage truck. So loud, couldn’t hear, couldn’t think. The next 20 minutes it continued. Everyone was kind of looking around like…. Ummm what's going on, make it stop. It wasn’t even twenty feet from where we were sitting. We get up to leave after finishing out meal and walk by the truck cleaning out the sewer!!!!!!!!!!! Really!

But St. Augustine was at the top of the list on all of our vacations. And it was too short. None or us wanted to leave. We were suppose to go on a carriage ride that night, after dinner. Not sure if it was the intrusive sewer truck or plain exhaustion but we couldn’t think of anything else to do and we were just so tired we went back to our room. The next morning we remembered we were suppose to go on that carriage ride. I thought it would be gorgeous at night but daytime was good because the traffic wasn’t as heavy. We went early morning. It was memorable. Then We went to an alligator feeding(classy right), and then spent some more time on the beach. The boys are growing and changing so much everyday. They all surprised me with one thing or another on this trip. We started driving home, already checked out of our hotel, we were full of sand. And as I looked in the backseat I watched each boy slowly, fade, yawn, fade to sleep happy, sandy, sun kissed. BLESSED.
