Easter savvy

This picture brings back memories of Easters as a kid. Waking up with my five siblings and going through our baskets. I was a total cow and devoured all my candy in like five minutes, While my sister savored each jelly bean and rationed her candy making it last till the Fourth of July. We laughed, and loved on each other, We knew the real reason for Easter. I still remember being in awe of the pictures of the the holes where the nails had been in Jesus’ hands. It’s Tate’s year to ask the questions. Question after question, after question, after question. I love it. We watched the animated Passion of the Christ and they took it all in. Such an amazing story, even after all these years at times is hard for me to believe the sacrifice. A father giving up his son, to die on the cross…for us. Because WE are sinners. No greater love than that.

I want to be like my sister’s savvy candy preservation when it comes to savoring the goodness of God and in being aware and thankfully repentant year around for the price he paid, not just Easter.

Here’s the song that’s been stuck in all our heads lately. I love hearing my Tate sing it.
