the weekend in photos

This weekend movie night came with more excitement and relief than usual. Maybe it was the stop into that horendus store ,Wal-Mart, late in the day on Friday that made me more thankful to be in my own house. I know, why do we go in the first place? Have boys on the search for specific Legos you'll understand. No wait, it was me. Whoopsie! IIIIII really wanted specific Legos' for a birthday gift for one of their friends. Cause I like giving people stuff they really love, I dunno.

Back to the part about being home out of the eyes of the public, away from the stares and the comments about them being "all boys". Yes, they are and I think it's awesome, thanks for noticing. I don't get it but at some point the good intentioned compliments become back-handed and the unsoliciled advice makes me want to roll my eyes. Which I might do...accidently of course.

Anyway, we made it home and I couldn't have been more thankful, my husband in a flight suit no less**hotness**, pizza, popcorn, movies, and three of the cutest boys around. The boys have been enjoying more and more hearing stories about "when they were younger" and they are actually old enough to have those stories now, so after attempting to organize some of our home videos earlier in the day we watched some together. It was heart warming, funny, and bitter-sweet. I really love my family.

And they love popcorn. Probably too much.

Saturday I was completely spoiled.

A picture says a thousand word. Need I say more? not really, but I will. I landed a shopping spree of sorts, for my birthday, from my generous and sweet husband. In these bags are things for the kids, the kids, the kids, and maybe something for me. *sigh* I thought I could do better than that. But they are just so darn easy to shop for and it wasn't really about what I was getting as much as some down time and the sheer enjoyment of going in stores we don't have at our closer mall. It was a nice day!

I came home and re-potted some plants.

And spent the evening with a friend. Outside in the gorgeous weather. Starbucks, check. Adorable kids, check. Lizards, check, check! Can we say perfection!?! My kids have/ had a pet lizard I made them let it go today because I'm sure it was hungry and thirsty and didn't like being in a cage with it's own poo-poo. But you better beleive they are going to get a new one tomorrow. Words can't explain how cool Asher thinks all this is.

Sunday was QT with K and T while A napped. Love these kids. We had little kits from Lowes and the kids just loved it.

Then block time with Asher pie! The marker on the hand is the sign of a good day.

What a happy weekend. Don't think for one second that I didn't remind myself to enjoy every second, to not take for granted MY HUSBAND IS HOME, and to just live in the moment already! Does tomorrow have to be Monday?
