Christmas silliness

Oh boy! How I do love kiddos. The innocence, the joy. All year long, but especially at this time of year. The kids always come out on top. Just as they should. The grown-ups are stressed and frazzled over silliness and kids just go along there merry way paying attention to the important stuff.
{as you know, one of my favorite things around this time of year. friends far and near, all in my dining room;)}

Like this, I was at the computer and feeling a little frazzled when Tate comes in and brings me a flower like he so diligently does. He gets so close to my face, eyes bright, full of joy, and says in his sweet voice- whisper I hope I never forget"I was working on this for ya, mom." Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh how can I not melt. I am 100% too blessed. This week he has dressed up as my Christmas Super Hero and yesterday Pajama Man aka P.M. for play around the house. Oh and I almost for a Who from Whoville for his school program.
Keegan has a card under the tree that reads "Do not open till Christmas" Since it's not for me I did :0 Oops! Inside it is thanking Greg for serving the country with a picture of a 135. Awwwwwwww It's more then I can take. What a thoughtful boy.
Asher is hanging on every word I say (not always obeying) with those big eyes and lashes and he is saying "Mkkay" now, Before trotting of to happily clean up toys, throw something away, or go find his cup.
{I love my travel inspired ornament}

And my newspaper wrappings
No, these little praise reports doesn't mean there weren't any melt downs this week. But I had more then the kids, because the are marvelous creatures and I'm a grown-up who lets the little stuff get to me and make me miss moments that are clean and crisp to a child. Yes, we obviously have more responsibilities then them and every right to melt down but it's not half as fun or endearing as spending the afternoons as a Christmas super heroes or pajama man a.k.a P.M.

Here's to slowing down and soaking up these precious moments and more.

I love you my three sons. Truly. Merry Christmas to all. Don't forget the true meaning and to soak up moments like these!
