the weekend in photos

The weekend started early last Friday. It included an impromptu(the best kind) all- afternoon- long celebration for my neighbor Sunshine’s Birthday. Pumpkin Spice fraps, at the park. It rained so we moved to my house to play. We looked through all my magazines, clothes, home décor etc. We may or may not have consumed the fraps, peach teas from Sonic, and another special drink involving Diet Coke over the few hours she was at my house. Meanwhile, I made red velvet cupcakes. I couldn’t let the rest of my salted caramel frosting go to waste ;)
Greg picked up pizzas on the home from work (I love having a husband). And then the boys set up camp in the back yard. Why are my boys so opposed to clothes? I’ll never know.

My cousin came in town. We have zero pictures to document that. She was in and out working out of Orlando, so she was back and forth. But she was here, she really was. We went to the mall and I tried Pinkberry for the first time. Did my pants fit after OR during all this eating? NO, but I put on a brave face and did my best to sample all the yumminess.

Saturday morning started with pedicures with a friend, which was super therapeutic and no trip out would be complete without a trip to the grocery store.  So I brought a gallon of milk home as a contribution to my family, who I have been neglecting.

Poor Asher Bear… Wasn’t feeling good, but I didn’t know at this point. Though he was just tuckered out from his night time sleeping wars.

After I pretended to be a good wife and clean around the house we took dinner out to Apollo Beach with hope of also getting a family picture. Greg won’t be back till… I don’t know..But basically this is our one chance for a family photo in time for Christmas. It was basically a disaster. I hate when I am overly ambitious. It didn’t work out. Too many people, to impatient of kids.

My defenses have been worn down. I officially don’t care anymore. Pictures and family pictures are over-rated. And not worth this. Is it time for my back surgery yet?

The highlight for the boys was finding this couple with an old, friendly dog to lick them. Silly boys.

Have I mentioned that I love this boy, Keegan and I think he is super handsome?

I love that no matter what, these boys pick flowers for me.

And that these two have been taking good care of each other.

I don’t like that this guy on the right is leaving in 72 hours. That’s not long, and my baby has the stomach flu, so I’m pretty much going out of my head knowing , and trying not to dwell on what is about to happen, again.

sarah, i loved this post, for many reasons, and other times is made me a bit sad
-you usually don't show much emotion about Greg leaving... I know this trip is going to be rough on you and the boys. I know you have a handful of great friends there, but I hope you know i'm just a phone call away.
Now, about all your green grass! I am so jelly! I miss green!! Darn this texas drought!
Gabe and Nolan don't care for clothes, either-it must be a boy thing.
I am jealous about the green grass-but waaay more jealous about the girl time with the fraps, and pedis. ahhh sounds so wonderful! You deserve it!
love you oodles!
