embrace the camera: july 7th{Embracing parenting}

4TH JULY '11 (122)

{ When I look at this picture it makes me happy.  I hope my boys can grow up having a sense of humor even when things don’t go as planned(something I’m still learning}

Sharing a moment most people with kids can probably relate to. Or maybe only with boys? I know some girls like to get their pose on. What’s wrong with this picture?!?! Well, for starters my husband is not even in it. But, I wasn’t even trying for that(would have been nice). I would have been happy to get one with me and the boys.  Big brother(my middle son) isn’t in it, And the baby, well, you see… he doesn’t want to be in it. This is the reason we don’t have many pictures together I guess. Thank you biggest brother for making a duck-face with me.

Yesterday, ended in bloodshed for one brother, inflicted by another brother, at the local swimming hole. Sometimes I think these kids are little barbarians , but no, the truth is they are really good boys—That situation and many like it are great teaching opportunities. I get the joy and humiliation of raising them, sometimes very publicly. I choose today to embrace these crazy times. How bout you?

i hopped over from the anderson crew blog and had to comment! I have boys also and can totally relate to what you wrote AND it made me feel better to know we're not the only house that has blood shed on a day to day basis!

Oh my goodness, I can so relate to the joy and humiliation of the public parenting opportunities I often receive. Great pictures!
